The Search For Mellow

by RainbowSlider   Oct 22, 2010

I first saw Mellow when I was a young child.
It was a ragged doll and her hair was so wild.
She wore the big eyes and a permanent smile.
I could be me with her and I kept her a while.

The next time I saw Mellow she was knitting.
Long needles with no holes and it was fitting.
She wore the small eyes and the content look.
I would glance at her while reading the book.

Once I saw Mellow; She was writing a letter.
She would dip quill in ink and make it better.
She wore the teary eyes and a smudged face.
I barely noticed her when I was out of place.

Then I saw Mellow while walking far away.
She was ahead of me sitting on a sunny day.
She wore the deep eyes and a painted focus.
The traffic whizzed by like it no one notice.

Sometimes I see Mellow and I don't realise.
Because I am busy and expect looking eyes.
Mellow can have eyes for others around me.
The search for Mellow is a lifelong destiny.
