Winters Long Nights III

by Jad   Nov 8, 2010

Overpowering cold,
envelops the white tundra
breathing frozen vapor,
strangling and freezing all.

The warmth of the day
has all but stayed alive,
inviting her friend Winter
to enrapture all the terrain.

The bitter fight of survival
opposes with ones will to fight,
Dying-trees lose their life
blistered by the piercing wind.

But for those who remain,
enduring and trudging through,
will be showered with warmth after
Winters long nights.

U know how dear my friendship with u is..lol but now with these poems about winter..I am crowning ITTTTTT..

nature and cold and winter sounded so much more lovable ..magical through your words..!!
let me tell u how i felt when I read these parts..

    The warmth of the day
    has all put stayed alive,
    inviting her friend Winter
    to enrapture all the terrain.
^^^this is such, a fact that you made
out of it..a very special verse ?
I just had to think about the chilling air amind
these slight sun rays that tries to reach out our cold skin..

made me think about very nice images, ones i so love about winter.
u have a talent with words..like Brit..ingrid and jane..and syb. no one over here make me cry or feel happy..or think as much as you 4. Tho im a fan of many..but this is different.

    The bitter fight of survival
opposes with ones will to fight,
^^^i had to stop over here..and reread..for the amazingness and strength of these lines..
    bitter fight of survival ?
-who will describe life in winter better than u!

    Dying-trees lose their life
    blistered by the piercing wind.
^^^the line b4 this ..is normal..but the wording of piercing wind..revived the uniqueness again.

    But for those who remain,
    enduring and trudging through,
will be showered with warmth after
    Winters long nights

^^^I can't believe the wisdom of the words over here..makes it feel like..there is no following part? :(.

I love how u made us think about those who will be able to fight the wildness..and storms of winter..to enjoy the warmth of the following season.

    Incredible.

I find so much beauty in nature and the changing of the seasons. Winter nights seem crisp and clean, every thing intensified. Good poem

Winter's night, although I complain about the cold, there is nothing like bundling up, walking at night in the cold crisp air of a winter night, moon shining, starts bright, maybe snow to make snow angels. It is a beautiful thing, a Winter's night. Well done.
