Enduring seraphic reticence

by Poet on the Piano   Dec 3, 2010

The almond ornaments wrinkle under my hand
as I caress our fertile flower so strong and gracious.
Locked toes step away from the shade inked with gloom
entering the gift-wrapped curtains of white sand.
Every word gathered from your eloquent garden
still flourishes and feasts on winter's intelligence,
like a folly carnation running outside clothless
you bottle its playful beauty and tie it around,
a ribbon securing the everlasting champagne.

You will be more than a pearly secret memory
for I sing your ubiquity into the birth of our love.
