Mountain Tops

by Lady Nik   Dec 22, 2010

A single line of light
shines down to Earth...
a tear has fallen somewhere
to mask this river of hurt.
Dead..laid slain by
the murderer inside the
brain. Words crash together
to help us remember
the worst days of our life.

I saw the sun set on mountain tops

I never knew it would be
the world turning its
back on me forever.

Forgotten..I no longer exist
in this life anymore. My soul
has been sucked out
through a frosted straw
by the evil held by my
own demons. The sun has
met dawn and she has ended me...

Now everyone knows why
the mountain tops bleed
red--

Nik, this one is really sad...spl this stanza somewhat scared me

    My soul
    has been sucked out
    through a frosted straw
by the evil held by my
    own demons.

Great choice of words here, even the thought is mindblowing.

all the best and take care

This poem is so full of dispair and sadness. So much lonliness crys from your words. Great imagery and word choices.
