Stronger in one breath

by Poet on the Piano   Dec 30, 2010

Resplendent lamppost sings to itself
preparing the words on lucky matches,
without an awakening he lingers
near the entry into her praised realm
where he waits...

with blushing candlestick
that he hurls into the wind,

where she waits...

midnight's early proposal
anchors his book of fire
unto her steed of crispness,

where he nips
and she nestles closer.

Their own burrow,
a symphonious spell
of a million torches,
dances downstage
and glowing touch
outwits the weather.
