A Point

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 10, 2011

A point
is chiseled out
a crude weapon is formed
To think it began in the mind
Arrow heads to rockets fly to the sky
Then slowly come back to the earth
Keep on shooting toward the stars
And you have made
A point

A very powerful write for a short poem. I liked reading it a lot. I do not have any critique so my only tip for you is to keep on doing what your doing because if this poem is anything to go by you are a good poet

The written word can indeed be used in many ways, Micheal.

I truly love this poem, nice format as well..a Rictameter if I am not mistaking?

    Well done, well done indeed!

    6000 years of war..
    ALL of recorded history,
    and still no Peace..
    perhaps this is a clue?

I very much appreciate your 'point' here...

"Merely dwelling in the sense-world's light
    Will never solve soul's riddle or soul's plight;
The world and life we will only understand
When to spirit heights we strive, ascend!"
