Without you in my life (my heart)

by kevin Boundy AKA the ghost   Jan 17, 2011

A thousand times a day, I catch myself,
staring at her divine smile,
and when I do, times hard to read.
it seems to stretch for quite a while.
and yet, on any given day,
I couldn't if I wanted to, look away.
it seems her eyes, they hold me captive.
an understatement would be to call you attractive.
because your beauty, words can't define.
I would give up everything to make you mine.
you stop time in every room you enter.
a common thought shared by every mind.
god give me the strength to turn my head,
for I hang on every word she said.
just let her hear what my heart must say,
before this cursed man ends up dead.
it is no secret. the truth, I speak it.
when I do give you my heart
all I ask is that you keep it.
because your laugh makes me feel complete
the feeling you give me no drug can compete
without you in my life, my heart..
is just a muscle that doesn't beat.
