Tucked away

by Poet on the Piano   Jan 21, 2011

You guard me in my unresponsive sleep
and I wonder how I came to live a fantasy,
from all the steps I've taken in this forest
when my boot snarl under a tangled root
it only points my shell in the bold direction.

Lately, time has rewinded when we murmur,
rivers from far away lands seem to hold a hum
and I let my spirit be taken by your love.

But I've still been too afraid to ask your reasoning
for sheltering me, and keeping me so distant from the sun.

One day, you explained to me, after moon's lullaby
that I was a human angel come to save your soul,
because you had sinned and trudged among dark demons
where a star's wish marked impossible to even get back up.

I held your face tenderly, as if one negative charge
would drop and fall on your broken heart.

I waited with an absolute promise, you're made for
our unity and I was sung into this woodsy globe
to repair your strings, and finally craft those saint-
adoring, heavenly invited wings.

This is definitely a unique piece!!

You guard me in my unresponsive sleep
and I wonder how I came to live a fantasy,
from all the steps I've taken in this forest
when my boot snarl under a tangled root
it only points my shell in the bold direction.

^ The beginning is my favorite..

It flowed greatly with the rest stanzas!
