Shadow Eyes

Oval in design--
how you watch me live.
Behind every corner
of your mind lies
another secret yet to
be told. Well here
I lie listening to your
heart...help me
decipher its motives
help me decode
each deathly beat.

I've only known you
for days..but your
eyes hold a century
worth of pain.

Teach me the ways of a
lover so that I may know
what it's like to feel
such despair. Break me
into the pieces you are before
me now. Bring me to your
level...I beg to understand.

You were meant to see
life through the eyes
of the living...not a shadow.

    ^^ Great lines! I really really liked this part!

    You were meant to see
    life through the eyes
    of the living...not a shadow
    ^ Unfortunately a lot of people live their life with blinders on and don't see through eyes of "the living" so to speak!...

    This was beautifully written with a hint of sadness. Loved it!

    One's eyes say a lot of things...it carries a
    thousand word like a picture. I really like this read..deep as well as sentimental..excellent!

    They say the eyes are the window to the soul. How nice it would be if we could take the pain from others who have seen and felt so much pain.

    An original idea, the eyes of another and what you would say to them. The eyes are the thing that shows the world our feelings and the depth of our emotions. Well done.
