Anticipating Daffodils

by Melissa   Feb 24, 2011

It has been drab and bony
since your leafy palms gave shade
to my shadow;
a gray blur
propped against the bark of Winter's
latent matter,
no fruit rests at these feet

but this grumble in my belly
keeps telling me to
gobble up,
for I know the frigid nature of nothingness
can be thawed
by mere fingertips

drip drop

    Marry me ? lol..
this is such an amazing piece!
I love this so much that I just want to go reread over and overafter I finish giving you my opinion.
like all your poems, you mastered this one up..

but if I have to be honest bout everything I disliked the drip drop part and this one :
    "leafy palms"

however doesn't matter, you do have a very good imagination and a very creative side, that none of your poems loooks like the other.
    Well done!
    keep your work coming
