TRUE LOVE

by Love Fallacy   Feb 26, 2011

A feeling that you can't describe,
No words can tell its tale.
A mystery hidden deep beneath,
An impenetrable veil.

...At first it starts out so small,
Then slowly begins to grow.
Soon it's overpowering,
Your heart in a stranglehold.

It's power is unmistakable,
Will twist your soul inside.
Slowly put you in a trance,
In it you will confide.

So beautiful, yet so sinister,
It's hard to hate it's deed.
You will yourself, but never win,
For it will always succeed.

No matter what, it's on your mind,
You'll pray to the gods above.
A wish to someday feel this power,
The rarest gift of TRUE LOVE.

Hmm... I had the feeling like you aimed to rhyme, but there were some parts where it didn't.

my advice would be to either focus on the rhyme scheme or to make this piece fully free style so that way it won't hold you back.

Though, I do have to say that I agree with the content. Love starts growing slowly then it grows. Not many finds True love and thus we end up wishing to find it.
