Castle Walls

by Jack Nightengale   Feb 28, 2011

End this game and stop the dispute,
There should be silence now, that means your words go mute.
These walls were built for isolation,
I've reinforced them to reach another nation.

Behind these walls there is no door,
Just stone gray walls and the broken floor.
Everyone on the outside must think that I have it all,
But, it's so empty living behind these walls.

Isolated away from all humanity,
Slowly fading and losing my sanity.
I climb to escape but, I trip and fall,
As I lay broken I wonder, can anyone hear me screaming behind these castle walls.

I can really feel the emotions in this poem..
I can see the place.. Feel the loneliness in there ..

    Amazing job :)

I actually enjoyed this piece, but I foound the structure off-putting. Because some lines were much longer than others, the rhythm didn't flow. It would be okay if every other line was long, but each time it just seemed out of place. BUt say I said, I enhoyed it. A nice string of words, well placed rhymes.

Oh my gosh, i actually got chills up my spine as i read that, (and i mean that in a good way!) i could really relate to this poem and I'm sure that theres a lot of other people out there too who would feel the exact same way!!its like we put up this facade of being so strong and seeming so happy when on the inside its a cold, broken and empty place which no one understands because they don't take the time to look past the facade, yet again another brilliant job!! perfectly executed :) well done Kris :)
