Holding You~

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 16, 2011

-

Everything I've ever written soulfully
as been only for your heart,
in the eyes of a true artist you share my fervor...
and even in the chilling silence of night
I feel a calm fire emerging from you,
moving like a lullaby that embraces me.

Your hold makes my breath escape,
in beautiful sighs as words become
too common to contemplate on.

With arms twisted skillfully,
you touch the truth of me
and pressed against your still skin,
I let you feel my heartbeat...
the very essence pulsing
because of what we mold.

This summer is ours,
no matter where we are
later in life,
we can always return
and hear our whisper
still kissing elegant trees,
their interwoven art
so fluent, ever united.
