Across and Beyond~Sonnet

by Poet on the Piano   Apr 16, 2011

-

On a menacing night I hum freely
dismissing murky clouds to stare at you,
while our sheltered haven lives ideally
inside peaceful soul where no dream withdrew.

As we cultivate tempestuous flames
I ask you if we would ever travel
mastering how to construct stronger frames,
you believe the world we can unravel.

During the shadow dance upon our wall,
we find a longing to take everywhere,
the gift of sharing love we will recall
for those who smother in passionless air.

Our hearts leave behind a fullness of mind,
to give radiating love undefined.
