A Memoir [collab with The Poetess]

by Lady Nik   Apr 20, 2011

My heart cringes further
with each escaping moment
for I do fail to bury my guilt
and you beneath my smirk

each night, wires cross
the galaxy of my psyche,
-like a million stars-
awaiting for me to make
a move,

confusion is what arises
when they pluck away my skin
with their burning eyes--

thick with lust, passion choking
at their once honest hearts,

stupid a word that confined
me to this bed, curious a
word that brought me here,
young a word that made them
need me, after they're
done with my insecurity
I wonder what word will float
around next... Cheap?

a harsh word for such gentle
movements now condemning
my body to center of
discreet moments never to
be viewed the same...

A collab with my good friend Noura :] please comment her as well http://www.poems-and-quotes.com/explicit/poems.php?explicit=1&id=1162928

Well done and it is difficult to tell who wrote which line. Blended well. I see a change since the first time I read this, in these lines and the genre from Explicit to Misc. I think I would have left the word as it was since it that word had a bigger impact on the reader. In any event, well done to both of you.

A very interesting poem that gives the story of someone who lives like that from their point of view. Your words are very powerful and I hope you two continue to keep up with your amazing talents and if possible do another collab together. I was barely able to tell who wrote what with how well the poem went together and with how it flowed. The emotions in this poem are interesting as they invoke sadness and shock with what has become of their life.

All in all, you two have done a great job and I can't wait to see what each one of you will do next. Both of y'alls poetry is very good and combining your talent to make this poem is very creative and shows that you are willing to step out of your safety box. Great job and keep writing!
