What Feels Right.

by lovemehateme   May 1, 2011

We were sittin in the back of the car on that starry summer night,
telling each other how we felt while holding each other tight.
While tears were slowly appearing, dripping from your face,
I layed there tightly in your arms saying I love this place.

You wiped the tears and looked at me as you remember our childhood ties,
Sitting here by the levee is where our true fate lies.
Growing up together was only the start of me and you together,
But now that fate has taken over I can't wait for forever.

But the suns coming up and the fires dying down,
It's getting closer to time to take you back to town.
I'm not at all ready for this saddening goodbye,
But I'll try to be strong and to keep from having to cry.

When your not here its like the walls close in,
And saying goodbye is where the nightmare begins...

Being in your arms is what feels right.
Kissing you is what feels right.
Sitting next to you is what feels right.
But being anywhere without you,
It's what doesn't feel right.

Holding hands together is what feels right.
Telling my friends I'm with you is what feels right.
Laying down beside you is what feels right.
Saying your last name with my first,
It's just what feels right.
