The Truth of my Heart

by Poet on the Piano   May 17, 2011

-

I've walked countless miles,
trembled on the storming roof,
and have panted among the cold,
just to let you know
I care...
that I'd die a thousand deaths
to see you live once
and hear your breath.

Press my chest
against your river
of tears tracing down...
how can I be afraid
when I've lived
another life with you?
