Love Of Fire (Acrostic end)

by Captain Lonesome   Jun 1, 2011

I like fire so hot it can melt a concrete slab
Fire for me is like a disease worse than the flu
Whether I'm home, work, driving, or sitting in a bar
I often imagine the way different things would burn
Some people may claim it, but I'm not crazy
I just like to watch the occasional unique flicker of an inferno
And of course I am not trying to scare you
It's not like I want to set off an atom bomb
I simply enjoy the natural beauty of fire
If at all it's just a small case of pyromania
To me fire has a characteristic of vertu
I can't say that I like the smell of most things burnt
But the sight is just mesmerizing similar to confetti
Though sometimes I guess I just like to see things go POOF
There may not be much I can say to explain it to you
At times its just fun no matter the fuel
I know that I myself am not fireproof
Though I respect fire with all of my will
One thing is for sure, and that is I don't have pyrophobia
I like to add fire to things to make them go boom
What can I say, I like fire
