Complicated Less

by Sunshine   Jun 22, 2011

I defined her through a verse
that makes her complications
simpler, with a definition.
Satisfied, she read her self
designed through words
that rhyme, in senses and meanings.

If for every confusion, a
beat of doubt that leaps out
of fear, smiles with a new clue-
poems would dress her heart
to reach her feet,
that rhyme, in thoughts and feelings.

Uh, Nana...? Hello? This is gorgeous poetry.

You know what part I loved the most besides the whole meaning of the poem?

"beat of doubt that leaps out"

I LOVED that. I love the way it rolled off my tongue and it had the perfect rhythm. Love, love, love my sweet.

I also like the idea of poems dressing her heart. You have a lot of creative differences here, a lot of simplicity in a complex manner, and a lot of symbolism that really sets this apart from the rest of your poetry. There is something different, perhaps the feel, of this poem. I absolutely love it.
