Once More, Forever More.

by Poet on the Piano   Jun 24, 2011

The pain ebbs out of the sandy, pale ocean
Creating a motion I cannot prevent,
While my legs stumble beneath me
Not wanting to be trapped without him again.

I free my body of all waves capsizing over me
Focusing all strength to be released in his view.
If only I will not be too late for his rescue mission,
A little bird fleeing from safety towards destiny.

He materializes spectacularly, with angelic grace
Until I wonder on what ground he truly stands,
Watching the world fail beneath us
As he creates a lasting halo around our silhouettes.

We blow in the wind that has appeared magically
And I grasp his silk shoulders, left to warm in the sun.
How dear his eyes are to me, liquid wings that cry
At the sound of my name melting into his own being.

The sunset begins to flash before us,
Reminding us of the precious world near
That fades in and out as we stand outside frames
To capture one last living beauty here, now.

Living inside his lit soul and hugging his lips,
I find my eyes have never quite described him right.
He is only able to be admired from the heart
Where I lose myself without force from earthly things.

He is the horizon I have always sought,
Someone steadfast and loyal to the truth.
If...becomes certainty as I chose to join him
In a place of boundless dreams and love.
