Notice Me

by Sunshine   Jul 2, 2011

Interfering into harmony and thinking
of a script to write!
It's warm indoors except that I sense chills
just to declare my presence
(what I unlike the outer world-do need)
to know I'm still there, anyplace
where nightfall clings to one of your branches,
to draw you down almost to the stage
at which my heart dwells. That's if you'd
notice me-which may be unrealistic,
[adequate for me; not to even try].

Excuse me, missy? Where is the credit for me, eh?! Hahah, I'm totally kidding :P I love that you can take our conversations and mold them into poetry, adding bits of truth and bits of ideas, it's amazing work every time!

I know what this poem really means, and I want to keep it tucked away in my memory just like so :)

    Beautifully written, Nana!

Your words really speak out Rania.....you give them your own presence while contemplating questions that can't stop clinging to you.

"to draw you down almost to the stage
    at which my heart dwells."

I really loved how you expressed these two lines....wanting someone to see you for who you are, what lies in your heart. This is something all of us probably have a desire for. having someone appreciate, respect, understand us.

It may not be completely impossible or even logical, but we try at some point. Don't give up.

God bless you! Glad to read your work again.

Lovely poem! You've expressed such a common feeling, trying to come up with the right words to draw someone closer to you, to make them notice you. Though the more you think of it, you question why you even try, because it seems they never will. Your words are heartbreaking.
