Appreciate what life shares

Being lonely gives time to think
Time, which may pass within one wink
Try to appreciate what life shares
And accept peoples nosy stares

It was time for annual fair
Lots of families would be there
It would be quite hard to take
But it's for my own sake

money I need to beg for
blasphemy I have to ignore
if all of them knew my story
for judging me they'd be sorry

Embrued by rain I was freezing
Getting sick I started sneezing
No hideout for me in sight
I'm used to this, I'll be alright

A family caught my eye
Mine was like that, I can't deny
Her parents are taking care
that their daughter won't despair

The smile on her face could be mine
Those eyes of her, they shine
I miss my parents a lot
There is no way I forgot.

Took the money I collected
followed them where detected
house of mirrors is where they went
what then happened wasn't pleasant

I saw my father and mother
Only them and me, but no other
they were standing next to me
mirrors reflect for me to see

They pat my head really lightly
Making me smile quite brightly
They say they're proud but need to leave
"Please stay, I don't want to grieve"

Being said, they start to disappear
In the same fire, that I now fear
They died in an awful fire
To be with them I desire

This was just an illusion
causing so much confusion
I do not know what to do
"Why can't I be with you?"

myself I try to drag
then I hurl the money bag
I break down, I'm sick of fakes
with the mirror my heart breaks.
