Obscure Crime

He towers above her tiny frame
tears blind her understanding
resolve begins to crumble.
Eyes plead forgiveness
to an obscure crime as
punishment is soon realized.

Escaping into the world of
her mind she endures silently.

Under blankets of sorrow
body bruised, spirit broken
she wonders why.
Drifting on clouds of refuge
peace embraces her with
dreams of safety.
.

Will tomorrow arrive on waves
of anguish? Or winds of protection?.

    So very true and well said. I could relate to this alot as I'm sure others can too. Very well put together and had a very strong ending. Leaves you thinking and wondering and hoping not many pieces can do that. Hope to read more great pieces by you. 5/5
