The Gift

In this life we search our hearts
Longer than forever you own the biggest part
When you find that special someone you adore
You must always fight, for then you'll no for sure

As the river flows into the Sapphire ocean
So does our love and endless devotion
Like the first flower blooming in the spring
My heart will blossom for you, with every song you sing

There were times I never thought it would be true
Never believed that I would find someone like you
And now I've found you, your love I will hold
Even after the day our bodies turn cold

I thank God for everything in my life
For the perfect child and loving wife
I thank you for the happiness that forever will be
I thank you for the gift you have graciously sent to me.

    Shows that there the most important thing in your life & that you feel so happy and so loved to have finally found them and loved your life. Great job,the emotion just flows out and its such a good poem,like i said you're an amazing writer(:

    You penned a quite heartfelt poem here. It's obvious that the speakers loves the person this is directed to wholeheartedly. I think the last stanza sums it all up once more. Well done.

    Two suggestions

    * for then you'll no for sure*
    should be Know instead of no

    second... the last line: if you changed it to" what you have given me" the flow isn't interrupted..
