Half past midnight

by believeinlove87   Aug 24, 2011

Half past midnight,
waiting by the car,
she hasn't seen him all night,
she left with her girls at the party,
and he left with his boys.

A fight breaks out,
fists are thrown everywhere,
blood covers the ground,
there he lays,
in a puddle of blood,
his pulse barely beating.

She hears her name being called,
runs over to him,
saying baby, please tell me you're okay,
he says I'm sorry i messed up,
she says no, don't apologize,
its not your fault i promise,
as tears drip down onto his chest.

Hes been stabbed,
blood continues to gush out,
as she calls 911,
they arrive 10 minutes later,
shes holding his hand,
crying trying to keep pressure on his wound,
she reminds him i love you,
and he weakly says it back.

They take him away,
she gets a call,
I'm sorry he didn't make it,
a night of fun,
turned out to a deadly scene,
the boy she loves,
the only one she cares about,
is gone in a flash of an eye.

Half past midnight,
waiting by the car,
she hasn't seen him all night,
she left with her girls at the party,
and he left with his boys,
a kiss goodnight,
they never knew this would be his last night.
