My Nightmare

My Biggest Fear,
happened about five years ago,
the day my dad told me,
your mothers dead,
was the day,
my nightmare came alive.

Waking up around 11 in the afternoon,
my gut feeling telling me somethings not right,
my dad walks downstairs,
pacing back and forth,
wouldn't look me in the eye,
i asked Dad whats wrong,
still no answer,
i ask is it mom,
is she okay,
he finally looks up,
tears rushing out of his eyes,
tells me your mothers dead.

Jaw dropped,
half surprised,
the other half i already knew,
tears start flowing out of my eyes,
as my dad pulls me into his arms,
i start breaking down,
saying no please be lying,
I was supposed to go see her,
crying so hard my voice is a bunch of mumbles.

A few minutes pass,
my brother comes downstairs,
and i hug him,
crying even harder,
not wanting to believe my biggest fear,
has came true,
i knew she would die,
i knew she wouldn't live for another year,
if she didn't stop,
but this soon,
i didn't expect.

Three months,
after we left her,
moved thousands of miles away,
she passed away,
I barely just started talking to her,
was supposed to surprise her for Christmas,
i never even got to tell her.

My nightmares,
I've dreamed about every night,
became a reality,
shes gone,
shes no longer here,
i didn't want to believe it,
i felt like this was some cruel joke,
and i hoped it was.

My Biggest Fear,
happened about five years ago,
the day my dad told me,
your mothers dead,
was the day,
my nightmare came alive.
