Waiting Room

by Jenni   Sep 12, 2011

You're here again.
I glance as you enter
and follow your steps;
you sit down at the exact
same place, resting your
head on your arm.

It seems as if you were
waiting for someone to
pick you up and leave.
We're sitting in this
waiting room of happiness;
it's always busy, but you
have my whole attention.

You're the change of scenery
I always looked for and
I want to remove the sorrow
in your eyes.

Is it too late?

You seem to bid farewell
as if you lost your last bit
of hope; don't let me lose
my side of you.

But..
the art of losing is to
regain it all.

    Definitely loved the ending and the questions it leaves behind to ponder over.

    It was different. I liked it. It was worded nicely. It was a good length and flowed good.
