Death's Shadow

In a world full of lies,
betrayed by everybody she loves,
tears are the only thing that grows,
pain is the only emotion felt,
nothing has ever gone right.

In a corner she sits alone
walking in the rain,
knowing that the rain drops
are her tears
and always in the shower crying
knowing there's no one
to save her from dying.

Looking at a picture,
holding the blade in her hand,
reminiscing about the past,
filled with such hatred,
never hearing i love you,
she contemplates the inevitable,
as she concentrates on the pain.

Finding relief from anger,
relief from pain,
she has decided,
to end her anguish,
and start slicing away.

Cold and numb,
she begins to not feel,
fading slowly,
life flashing in front of her eyes,
she begins to wonder why.

Wonders why she was ever alive.
