If you wonder what I am...

I am my own person,
although at times
I wish I could take fragments
of someone else's personality..

times when I long for
a shiny auburn hair,
that runs all the way
down across my back.

whenever these black curls
become too hard to handle,
I wish I was him
her,
them...

I must force myself
to love all that I am,
and accept all I am not.

I am not the one that keeps
her head in the books,
stands in line with all
the other "ladies"
that search for the perfect husband,
the prettiest kids..

Not the one
that swallows her pride
and hangs on to others
expectations of me.

I am like a brave
white tiger that is not afraid
to give her biggest roar
to he who dares to mess
with my heart..

I am not the one that takes,
pain after pain,after pain..
although,I used to be
I no longer am.

I am a mixture
of undefined dreams,
along with a touch of bitterness

I am a scientific
experiment,
too stubborn to deliver results

I am a girl,
a young woman
with an amazing head placed
on top of my shoulders

and,
I know they hate me for that..

but I don't care.

    Lol thoough i dont remember asking nano to write an " I am poem" but anyway you did do it perfectly :) this is amazing, and no grade would do you good, and I am glad that you explored your inner self :)

    Lol! Rania gave me this homework too, although I failed to do it, but you did it! you must feel proud! ;)

    This was very well-written Yakzz. Especially the books part! Lol I don't study as I should and that is making me feel sooooo unworthy :( you just nailed this one, I so relate to it. :)

    This has the same raw emotion as Nana's poem, that's instantly the same kind of strength and emotion I felt. You mastered this!

    I love this. The best kind of inner peace is accepting yourself for who you are. This is beautifully written. I love, love, love it!
