Never Fall in Love

This is possibly the worse poem i wrote so far... i dunno i think it is cause i was mad at the time and i didn't take my time on this one and i didn't put in my best work

I was told love makes the world go around,
I heard it keeps your feet on the ground.
I once believed it's the purpose of life,
But now I see love's just a knife.
All love does is break your heart,
All it does is rip you apart.
You give them your love and best,
They take a knife and stab you in the chest.
They want to be with you and no one else,
All you're doing is hurting yourself.
Love turns you stupid and blind,
Later it will haunt you in your mind.
You say you hate them so much,
At nights you miss their gentle touch.
Broken trust leaves your heart so sore,
For no reason you come back for more.
All though you say ?I love you,'
You know in the end they'll never be with you.
You think your love will be so strong,
Then suddenly everything goes wrong.
There's nothing to gain,
Only the pain.
You say with them you want to age,
You don't even look on the other page.
Love is just a stupid lie.
You'll soon look back and wonder why.
You say you'll do whatever it takes,
You never make it through the heartbreaks.
They give so many tries,
Never see with their own eyes.
They say they'll catch you when you fall,
But where are they when you call?
Love is just a stupid word,
Emotions are so absurd.
They say you're the reason that they breathe,
If that is true why do they leave?
One moment it's their heart you'll never break,
Suddenly loving them was a big mistake.
You'd wish they'd disappear.
But then you shed a tear.
Hearts are broken every day,
So please listen to the words I say.
This is the way that love bends,
This is the way the story ends.
This is my advice from me to you,
There's just one problem;
I love you.
