    Elizabeth,

I see you haven't posted anything in a while but if this is anything to go by, you should post more! The way you use this form to make the journey from 'dream' to 'nightmare' with all the adjectives in between is first class.

    All the best,

    Ben

A real nice illustration of a diamond poem. A dream is defined in Webster's Dictionary as a "sequence of sensations, images, thoughts, etc., passing through a sleeping person's mind". This generally occurs during active (REM) sleep, essential to the growth of a child, and decline with age. So metaphorically, we have a lot of ambitions in our fertile mind to chase after, and these are either accomplished or lost in adulthood. So, the more you dream, I would imagine you have more ambitious.... The less you dream, and if you have too many nightmares (bad dreams), I guess you are losing yourself (feeling depressed)or your ambitions. Scientifically, though nightmares are one of the 10 forms of dreams, which has nothing to do with poetic thought. Here is a link to read more if curious.

Talk about dream, it's something we all love to get wrapped up in. Many times, we wish life could be just like dreams, other times we wish our dreams could be the lives we live.

I liked the way you went, from Dream (the good part of it) and then went to Nightmare (the downside).

    5/5
