The Crystal Rose

by believeinlove87   Oct 30, 2011

A crystal rose,
sparkling in the bright light,
catching every last ray of the sun
through the glass window,
making reflections on the wall,
a forever kind of love.

Soft, luxurious rose petals
cover the floor,
taking you to a room,
filled with candle light,
perfume fills the air,
looking upon the wall,
she writes I'm Sorry.

Awaiting on the black & red silk
comforter,
anxious upon his reaction,
a bottle of champagne sits in the ice bucket,
long curly hair,
in his favorite piece of lingerie,
hes the only thing she needs.

A crystal rose,
lies in her palms,
a symbol of her undeniable love,
opening the door,
he sees her waiting his return,
looking up with a gorgeous smile,
she says
I'm sorry, But a life without you
isn't worth living.

Tears fall out of her eyes,
grabbing her face, he wipes them away,
letting her know he isn't going anywhere,
he messed up too, i forgive you,
placing the crystal rose in his grasp,
she says forever & a day,
nothing else,
I couldn't handle another day without you.

-I wrote this for my ex boyfriend when I was trying to fix things-

Awww! this is so romantic and affectionate. Very thought provoking and every stanza unfolds like a romance movie. You kept the transition between each stanza very well. Beautiful and very heart touching. Written articulately, Thumbs Up! :-).
