Simple Hello

by believeinlove87   Oct 31, 2011

Goodbye my love,
this is the end for us,
no more i loves you,
midnight kisses are gone,
forever is more like never.

Unconditional love,
my heart laid in the palm of your hand,
your initials on my wrist,
eyes that hypnotized me,
voice that gave me butterflies,
your touch sent chills down my spine.

Fought for you,
proved how strong my love was,
an everlasting, forever kinda thing,
never walked away, never gave up,
till enough was enough,
having to say that dreaded goodbye.

Months have past,
starting to question what if,
maybe you are the one,
could this possibly be a sign,
you saying you still love me running
through my mind a million per minute.

Could this be true?
have you finally seen what we could
have been?
my love is still here,
I'm sorry I can't go there again,
said goodbye once to you,
can I let you back in my life,
starting with a simple hello?
that I don't know.

Awwww... Wow this poem was so sad, emotional and heartfelt. I like the way you penned these emotions. The second stanza was my favorite. Great job hon!

    Hey,

    What a heartfelt poem.

So heartbreaking. I felt every word.

The poem to me was like a final goodbye to someone you really LOVE (still love) however there's this question and wondering hope if you can let this person back into your life? Part of you believes it is over and the other wants him back.

I think there are any people who feel the same way at one time or another. It happens a lot with first love (happened with me)

Well written and had a nice flow. Loved this poem!
