Decision is Final

by believeinlove87   Nov 12, 2011

Walking along the river,
gathering her thoughts together,
debating whether or not she
should give this a chance,
supposed to be an easy choice,
her mind can't be made up.

Oh, his smile makes her melt,
captivating blue eyes pierce her soul,
touch sending chills down her spine;
arms filled with goosebumps,
she can't help but fall even more
the longer they talk every day.

Questioning, Is this worth it?
Will this last? Could this be what
was supposed to happen all along?
Her feelings never subsided,
just pushed away to the side in the
back of her thoughts.

Two completely different people,
often told you guys would go far,
needing to get inside each others brains,
learn how he thinks, how she reacts,
willing to do anything to make this work,
finally a good guy has walked into her life.

Walking along the river,
sweetly smiling to herself,
she knows her mind is made up,
wanting him as the one in her life,
throwing a rock into the water,
her decision is final<3.

Even though it was a bit cliche in wording I think the emotional value out weighed that. Leaving the reader with a soft warm feeling.

    Well, well.

The flow was great, you stated your point really clear and even though i can't relate much, I still like it.

I like the questions, it shows that you really ponder on your final decision.

Oh god Holly, this is so sweet. I loved how you used the third person all through the poem. The thoughts and words just flawed with an ease. It seems that they were really meant to be :)

    Great one.
