Love

by Stephanie   Dec 5, 2011

You say that love is not real,
Because you cannot see it
And touch it with your hands
But these are lies
For love snuggles between the blankets
Of the emotions we all feel

Love is
The baby wrapped in a mother's arms,
So fragile and small
It is the hope that mommy's little boy,
Will soon grow big and tall

Love is
Being surrounded by the ones you hold dear
Whether be a lover, family, or friend
Cause even the darkest days are brightened by their cheer
Even when they are at a distance
And you start to miss em
The memories makes the love impossible to end

Love is
Not only limited to happiness
With arms wide open
It thrives in the shadow of darkness
Patiently waiting time and time again
To catch you from your fall of despair
And make you anew through its repair

You say that love cannot last death
When the body and soul has taken its last breath
But again you are wrong
For it exists in Death's love song,
The love for the departed soul in God's name you pray
Ensures that love will always be here to stay
