Time is life

Time is life
so much to do
so little time,
in this left over time

Am I too late before the sun sets?

Time slips under me
as I sleep tonight
wondering if my dreams
will ever return

Or, will I stay forever in this nightmare

Time, will it ever turn back
to catch the tide that I missed
the precious youth that I lost
for the love, that was unrequited

I once heard, time and tide wait for none

Time is the 4th dimension
my presence in it, a reality
my past, an illusion
my future, a delusion

I dream of days past, forever lost

My time is flying fast
life is running short
It seems, I am riding a time bomb
one with a short fuse

So much to share, but does anyone care?

When my heart is ready to stop,
will you deprive me of the breath of life
starved of true love, not lust
would an angel care?

When I give my soul, for all eternity

Would you still repudiate my love
when I give you my all?
Will you leave me behind, all alone?
Dangling forever, in the clutches of time

If you do, rip my heart, take my soul
as I am done with love this lifetime
