Whispers Goodbye My Love

by believeinlove87   Dec 24, 2011

Ending it tonight,
she's finally saying goodbye,
letting you go with no more chances,
saying enough is enough,
you had your opportunity to make things
right; but instead you choose to lose me.

Walking away; refusing to look back,
she wipes away the hurtful falling tears,
constantly telling herself why she must go,
all the belittling comments, the nasty
judgmental looks he throws her way,
overworking her body; her heart has had
plenty more then it can take.

Gathering all her stuff into the suitcases,
placing them in the trunk of her car,
looking back one last time; no emotion can
be seen across that beautiful face of his,
dull eyes, blank stares, never would she have thought
it would end this way.

Ending it tonight,
knowing deep down inside she deserves better,
throwing the ring at his heartless body,
getting in the car, starting the ignition; looking in
the rear view mirror, she sees tears roll down his cheek,
pain striking her heart, she knows she must go on,
as she whispers goodbye my love.
