Hearts Intertwined Forever

by believeinlove87   Dec 30, 2011

Hearts intertwined forever,
you took a piece of me nobody could
even come close to possibly refilling,
five years down the road, your soul
still lingers in my body knowing you
are always with me.

My guardian angel, the person I call my mother,
such a beautiful uplifting feeling as you pop
into my mind, replacing that frown upon my face
with a glowing smile, reminding me baby girl don't
ever let anybody get you down.

Calming sereneness cloud my surroundings,
a way of letting me know you haven't gone anywhere,
as soon as tears fall from my eyes, I hear whispered
into my ear it will be okay sweetheart,
you're stronger then you think; always placing encouraging words
into my brain allowing not the smallest amount of pain felt.

Hearts intertwined forever,
never a day goes by that I don't thank god for you
being the one to bring me into this life, knowing that
even though your no longer here in person, your heart and soul is what completes me,my mother, my world,
my best friend, a place in my heart nobody could ever
possibly come close to refilling.

From the title alone I thought this poem may have been about a lover until I read it and actually noticed what genre this poem was under.

This is a beautiful poem about your mother who has passed away and you feel that she is watching over you and guiding you. I think it is lovely and it really touched my heart while reading it.

A great job - I love poems that come from the heart
