Stringing Hearts With Lyrics

Song lyrics replaying in my mind
with each word striking me to
the core, one line pulling me in
only to be lost in you once again.

Hitting my fists against the walls
filled with anger and sadness
with tears flowing down my cheek
just like lava down the volcano.

The lyrics are playing with me again
with one word from the song
pulling at the strings you've attached
to my heart without a second thought.

Hitting my head against the bedpost
with the hope of knocking myself out
so that I can sleep without feeling
pain that seems to be ever growing.
