Life's Ocean

Slowly putting a foot in to test
the waters of uncertainity with
hopes that it'd have a lasting
effect on me; waves of words
start crashing in on my toes.

When the undertoe of doubts
takes me for the ride of a lifetime
where the walks of life's floor is
filled with rings that never fit a hand
and loves that came to an end.

Trying to navigate my way through
these untamed roads of choices that
always seem to lead me to golden
paths of heartbreak filled with spoken
lines that seemed so real.

Tripping over all the things people
meant to say, but never let their lips
form; these lines have their own area
on life's ocean floor where loners still
linger in search of the right one.

Standing in front of the crossroads
of decisions I still have yet to make
with still no right or wrong answer
on whether or not, I should make
a move off the undecided shore.
