Misery Is My Master

by xoxShorteexox   Jan 25, 2012

Misery has become my master,
Putting my heart on a collar,
And stepping on it whenever he pleased.

Youth appearance apparently pulling him in,
For another girl to just have a moment with,
Then drag her heart beneath his feet.

His tongue so sharp with the way he makes you
Believe for a second, you're actually worth it
With promises encased in such horrific lies.

His smile may have pulled me in, but his
Words just had to seal my godless fate,
Crushing my heart once more.

If he's the master and I'm the puppet,
Then why is he slowly dancing towards
The end of this sick and twisted game?

Misery is indeed my master, keeping me
Locked into promises and deceived by lies
Until the last moment of torment passes us by...

- I know my profile says I probably won't write, but I couldn't sleep and this came to mind. My friend said I should share it even though I feel the flow is kinda rough.-

Seems you have penned a monster. A dark poem and very sad, more then you have revealed as it seems it was written from a vivid imagination.

    Wow girl.
this definitely shows everything you told me about last night.

How the sick game he is playing hurts & why is he dancing towards you if hes the one playing. You can feel what your writing & you can visualize this in your head.

The flow may be a little rough, but barely & i love this poem.

    Amazing job as always<3
