I Loved Her Once

I tried banging my head
against the wall,
thinking i would get amnesia
and forget you once and for all

I did, but all i got was further pain
like that you have infringed on my heart
for the past year and counting

Why must memories of you remain?
If my brain had a format function,
i would have erased all the memories
right from the day i saw you

Writing this was easy,
all i had to do was stare at your picture
and unleashed the anger within me,

The picture is burning in the flames now,
and that's where you belong too,
so you should feel the pain and suffering
you have caused me,
a man who once loved you

    Love can indeed give so much pain... but then it's always better to move. I could feel the frustration and anger in your words. well written.

    Somehow I knew this piece would have emotion inside of it, to be honest there's nothing I can faulter about your words here because ive been in this place so many times each time more painful than the other, it's so easy though, to wish the pain away with every fabric we have inside us, but even then if it were so it'd be just as painful next time, at least we have our experience to hepl guide us the next time.

    but your poem it shows so much heartache built up inside, almost as if its becoming too much, we'd give anything to not remember things at some point, you portrayed heartache as it is paul, painful! but none of the kids now days wont understand this, not until they grow up and have their heart ripped out because the other person could.

    your favourited, Ive related to all the poems ive read of yours so far. its actually refreshing to see. nicely done dude.
