At the Very Sight of You

by Lioness   Feb 10, 2012

You can tell by
the way I move
when I see you,
that my feelings are
not one of
adoration.

I look at you and
feel the need to
remove my existence
from your path...

at any cost.

Notice the way I
cringe each time
you surprise me?

You know how much
I hate surprises.

You continuously mock
me with these
unmistaken fierce
looks of
torture.

Believe me,

I would love for you
to leave this house
and completely out
of my life without
me hurting you.

So I need to ask for help.

I may be vulnerable
and scared but
I have no choice.

You just freak the
crap out of me.

I mean, what do you
need eight legs
for anyhow?

Something about this poem just gave me chills. I dont know why but The words or maybe the way you described the whole thing just felt like a deja vu; its weird I know, but I think I lived that moment once before.

Love it Liz, love it more than you can think of.
Tnis will definitely go straight to my fav list, I need to read it again and again and again.

    A nomination for sure.

Sweet and pleasant read..........reminds me of my daughters dislike for spiders ! I think this poem conveys her attitude towards our 8-legged friends ..........rather 8 legs instead of 8 heads !

This poem was very clever :D I read it and thought it was about a person then I got to the end and thought it was about a spider. I hate spiders. I think this poem was put together very well and I liked how you supprised us all with the ending. You really thought this poem through.

    Excellent

    5/5
