Tides from the underground

by Dark Secrets   Feb 22, 2012

Warmth...
from pressed lips
returns color
to my pale...
... pale
cheeks
yet, it fades back

Simply
as it came
leaving colorless, lifeless
white

Salty droplets
slip to land on my body,
mingling with my solitude,
crashing upon limp muscles
... disturbing the silence

Clouds of whispers swirl above
and thicken...
white, black and grey
as memories begin to dissolve
into the mist plump with secrets
... They unwind...
and unravel
as rumors begin to spread
from the same lips that kissed the cheek!
Truth and lies become one

Only those who know the truth...
see it clear

And I
as light as a feather
know:
To die for a day
Is the only way
and I am but a dream...

Amazing thoughts poured out here, Zahrah. This is very devastating, when one is betrayed for no reasons or your accused of something you know nothing about. Stabing one in the back is the most heart breaking experience, especially when it's by a loved one.

Good message you pointed out, using traits of nature to add a beauty to it even when engross in sad moments.

Keep up the great talent, more grease to your ink..and more wisdom to your gift. Mashallah dear, Cheers! Bisalam.. ;-).

    Zahra, this is really brilliant:

    .. They unwind...
    and unravel
    as rumors begin to spread
from the same lips that kissed the cheek!
    Truth and lies become one

Only those who know the truth...
    see it clear
