Lord's Church

by CathyButterflyJC   Apr 20, 2012

These walls hold truth
Tales of life's breath
They open the door
Demons fall through the floor
Smiles upon our faces
Feeling God's embrace
Creating warmth in our heart
Stopping us from falling apart
I love You Lord
I treasure Your Word
My mistakes haunt me truly
Sins defeat me ruthlessly
On me please don't give up
I remember You when I drink Your Cup
With You I can reach for the top
And never have to look back or stop
Remember me at judgment
I tried to keep Your movement
You are so strong
Satan is so wrong
You're forgiveness is recovery
Lord have mercy
Give me the upmost faith
You breathed in us your sweet breath
Made creations You won't ever forget

Amazing piece. So uplifting and inspirational. The rhymes flowed rather well, and doesn't seem too forced. I love the simple imagery and word choice. Just some minor errors I spotted:
    "Smiles upon our faces
Feeling God's embraces"--embrace is a mass noun, therefore, change embraces (which is a verb) to embrace.
    "You are so strong
Satin is so wrong"--satin is a type of cloth, should be 'Satan'
Overall, a very beautiful piece. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it :)
