Too Late For Apologies

by Krista Cummings   Apr 28, 2012

It's that very first moment,
When you find out the truth.
When you realize your love,
Has only been used.

I swear that this life,
Seems harder than it looks.
With the twisted little turns,
And the blood-curdling hooks.

It's that moment in time,
When you finally realize.
You've given up hope,
And believe all the lies.

"Oh she's nothing," you say,
But I'm smarter than that.
Because I know the truth,
Yes, I know for a fact.

I've come to a fork,
That splits us in two.
That made me recognize,
You were too good to be true.

So I sit here and think,
Of words my heart cannot say.
And hope this will pass,
That I'll be okay one day.

But that day turns to night,
When I cry myself to sleep.
While I wonder how you touched her,
As it torments my dreams.

I look into your eyes,
And know this is all just a lie.
And I'm waiting for that moment....
When I'll be strong enough to say....
---Goodbye.

    "It's that very first moment,
When you find out the truth.
    When you realize your love,
    Has only been used."--

    That moment...
is the hardest to cope with!

I've felt like this all dayy.
This poem, is where I am right now.
    -Present.

    Situation ...when knowing
the truth-even tho' you are being continued
lied too--is a horrible situation to
    be in.

    You expressed feelings-
    truthfully in this write.

    5/5 ! :)
