Cower Odd

by Matthew Anthony   May 8, 2012

As they plead and shout 'don't surrender your thoughts
Feral flames once were born just to settle this cause'
'No meaning' he said, 'i'm not born and bred
From the tailors who stitched for the torn'

Incapable traps faced no contest no match
like the seas that were said to be parted
'My time has not come, I am here just as one'
As if life, death and dreams had just started.

Why 'take this bread' now you'll live and regret
Flowing tears unearth depths that are healed in
Valleys laid out for rest we have past not regret
'Only logic makes sense when you're breathing'

'Please tell me that I am still dreaming'?
'Bare pain whistles' right up to the ceiling'

Barking slur at the tree's while roots flatter their seeds
Capture chance to perceive fellow greats can be beat
Hoisted high to be seen boasting depths of defeat
'A white flag has he deemed'?

Lead a stray yet so callously hearted
A dear love will not be disregarded
Instead love brings the saints as fear ceased to replace
Plenty full, cower odd, with a chance in
