You may be everywhere

by Chelsey   May 9, 2012

After months of preparing my heart and mind
I've given up the thought of reconciling
After all, reconciliation should come from the shamed one
not the innocent and betrayed

You may be on the side of the border
and even the front of attention,
but you will always remain to the back
of cob-webbed corners in my mind

I will continue to bury my disappointment
in the grave plot you dug for our friendship
Has the hurt resided completely?
No! But more so than it was before

Yes, you may be certain peoples pride and joy
even the kindest person they've ever known
But to me you will always be the harsh,
the one who gives no explanation

I will give you this, because its out of my control
you still appear in a number of my dreams
You may be in my head for a few nights,
but youre no longer in my definition of a friend

I don't know who you were sticking it to but the poem was awesome! I loved the directness and it feels like it was a way for you to release what you needed to say. It showed your strength and as though it was some kind of closure for you.

    Awesome write hun!
