Am Your Friend

by Paul Gondwe   May 10, 2012

Am always by your side,
listening to your dreams and fears,
reaching out my hand for you
to pull you back up

Confide in me your everything,
knowing that your deepest of
secrets are safe with me

A short write yet it is deep and meaningful to a friend..

    Am always by your side,
listening to your dreams and fears,
reaching out my hand for you
    to pull you back up

^As I read this I could imagine an anchor of a ship. No matter who big or small any ship would need an anchor to hold it up...just like a true friend who will hold you up no matter what. A sentimental verse!

    Confide in me your everything,
    knowing that your deepest of
    secrets are safe with me

^Like a vault where precious and the darkest treasures are kept..likewise its good to have a friend who will be like a vault knowing that he/she will not betray our trust. Another good write my friend!

It's really comforting to have a friend who listens to us and that really know us. This piece tells me that and I love the simple words and the feeling that comes from the heart.
