Drunken Love

Tonight, love seemed drunk
a bit, or was it me who lost
my soberness ... yet again!

I remember a day when, in
your name; I raised my glass
"for love"; or at least the idea
of it.

It's so easy to fall in the name
of love, but the catch is that
you spend a lifetime keeping
it awake.

Well here I am, drinking this
last shot .. of love. So until
we meet again, until I wake
you up ..

.. I guess its a farewell.

    This poems somewhere relates to old memories that hurts and make us happy sometimes. both..

    so lovely written short innocent sad writing style.
    we miss someone to who we love. and few memories really hurts inside... i like the way you choose the title... great work.. take care

    That was such a heartfelt part. My heart skipped a beat or maybe two! I loved how you said simply that you sacrificed, loved the use of 'in your name'. Really simple and great word choice!
